India does not appear to want to return to the office any time soon, even after a year of working remotely owing to the coronavirus-induced lockdown. Hybrid working and workspaces that are closer to home are here to stay. COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization almost precisely a year ago. Then the unthinkable occurred. Companies were forced to close their doors and employees were asked to leave. While many employees and employers first believed that remote working would disappear once the pandemic was over, firms now assume otherwise.

There are numerous advantages to remote working for both businesses and employees There are no fixed costs for employers, global recruitment, and the ability to hire from anywhere. For employees, WFH implies being able to work from home, avoiding commuting, and increasing productivity. While vaccine availability provides some hope, a recent surge in the number of daily COVID-19 positive cases in some areas suggests a new wave is on the way. The workforce is unlikely to return to the workplace anytime soon.
The work from home should continue at least till the end of 2021, even after that also it should continue as public gatherings should be avoided as much as possible. Most importantly, the work which can be done avoiding contact and giving the virus a way to our homes should be continued. Work from home has many advantages one of them which is that it gave an opportunity to the students pursuing high school and those in colleges as can manage both by choosing flexible timings to work. This will lead to enhancement in in their skills and personality before them doing their actual jobs.
